HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. --- This girl is a little unsure of the world, but is making steady progress in her foster home learning about all the wonderful things there is to being a dog! Has recently learned what TOYS are and enjoys tossing them to herself while she frolics outside! While she continues her confidence journey, a young or busy home may be too much for her, and may be most successful with family members that are old enough to understand her need for space at times She has lived with cats in her previous home, and also has feline siblings in her foster home though still needs structured introductions to them in a new place, until she's reminded that they aren't playmates! Arrived to us with a suspected congenital deformity on one of her front paws, so she's missing a toe or two! This impacts her life very little, and is mostly a fun talking point for her at parties Would likely benefit from a calm and confident dog sibling to continue showing her how to navigate the world; would love to meet any resident pups in her next home prior to adoption! Does well in her crate when she has to be at home alone, and is working up to longer stretches contained. She really loves having something to keep her busy while her friends are away! Her foster family reports that she's about 95% house-trained, though any dog will need a bit of time post-adoption to get used to a new house's schedule!
