About Lobo

Meet Lobo, an adventurous adolescent husky ready to find his forever home. Lobo came to the shelter as a stray, embodying the wanderlust typical of his breed. As a young husky, he thrives on daily mental and physical stimulation, making positive reinforcement training crucial for honing his intelligence and energy. He may do well in a home with other dogs, but any potential furry siblings should meet him at the shelter first. Due to his playful nature, Lobo might not be suited for homes with small animals or cats, as his breed often has a strong prey drive. We don’t have any history of Lobo with children, so consider how he might fit in your home. Lobo is available for pre-adoption, and you can meet him at the shelter. Once he’s neutered, he’ll be all set to join your family! The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is excited to offer “Pawsitivity Bucks,” a $200 training voucher to help you and Lobo connect with local trainers who specialize in positive reinforcement. Visit us in Santa Cruz anytime from 11 AM to 6 PM, and don’t forget to arrive early if you’d like to meet Lobo outside his kennel!
