Meet Maxie! Maxie is a wonderful 5-year-old shepherd/husky mix who weighs 55 lbs. She ended up in the rescue after her owners had to leave, one for military service and the other relocating unexpectedly. A family friend took her and another dog in, and now it's Maxie's turn to find her forever home. Known for being a big lap dog, Maxie loves to cuddle and is happiest when she's close to her people. She's house trained, crate trained, and has good house manners after living in a home her entire life. An active dog, she adores playing fetch and would make an excellent companion for hiking or jogging. Maxie tends to prefer small dogs and is indifferent towards cats. This lovely girl deserves a second chance at a loving home. Will you be the one to give her that chance?
