About Amelia

Amelia is our resident squishy squishmallow ready to melt your heart. She arrived at the shelter as a stray and was quickly adopted, but didn’t get along with the resident cats, so she's now looking for a kitty-free home. During her time in a foster home, we learned a lot about Amelia. She's a quiet houseguest, well-behaved when left alone, though it's best to keep food out of reach if you want some later. She's housebroken and did great in a crate. Amelia adores getting pets and has a special fondness for squeaky toys. She quickly picked up commands like 'sit' and 'lay down.' Amelia is also a day trip superstar. She enjoys car rides, meeting new people, and especially loves belly rubs! A volunteer noted how excited she gets to be outside of her kennel, happily seeking attention. Amelia shares her kennel with another dog and has shown to be social, tolerant, and playful.
