Duke is 6 years old and around 95 pounds. We completed a DNA test on him and he’s half Mal half GSD. He is active but not overly active. He enjoys the company of people, going on walks, hikes, etc. He was rescued with his mate in August. He was dying from starvation and salt toxicity. They were starved for 3 months when the family got divorced and then dumped in a rural area in Oakland on the ocean. I happened to come across them while doing an adoption and couldn’t leave them. I’m looking for homes for them individually because Duke Is strong and I haven’t had success finding them homes individually, so I doubt it will happen as a pair. He does well on a leash and he’s very smart. He would be best in a home without other pets. He can be walked and around other dogs while he’s leashed but he did not get socialization with other dogs in his previous home. He may be able to acclimate to other dogs but we do not test for that here. Neutered, vaccinated, chipped, dewormed. Flea/tick treated. Has all 4 canines removed, when we rescued him all 4 roots were exposed.
