Barberry
AvailableBarberry is a 3-year-and-5-month-old neutered male domestic medium hair cat. He has a medium build and comes from Cumberland, ME. Barberry is house trained and has received all his vaccinations. He's a work in progress when it comes to socialization, needing time and kindness to feel comfortable around humans. He shares a special bond with his brother, Prickly Pear, and they must be adopted together.
About Barberry
Barberry is a striking boy with a beautiful dark tabby face. Heโs part of a bonded pair with his brother, Prickly Pear. Rescued from an abandoned home, Barberry has spent most of his life without human interaction, making him a bit shy and reserved. He often prefers to observe from a distance, building his confidence gradually. Barberry enjoys playing with toys, but he does so on his own terms. Thanks to the efforts of our Shy Angels Socialization Team, heโs become braver each day, learning that people can be kind, especially when treats are involved. Barberry and Prickly Pear need a calm, quiet home without small children or dogs. Patience will be essential as they continue to adjust, and regular playtime will help them flourish. They have formed a strong bond with each other and should be adopted together, as they support one another in navigating their new environment. Though heโs a bit quiet, Barberryโs gentle nature is truly worth the wait. With time and love, this handsome guy will continue to blossom into the sweet companion everyone hopes for.
