About Prickly Pear
Prickly Pear is a charming boy with a striking face, and he comes bundled with his brother, Barberry. Rescued from an abandoned home, these siblings spent their early lives without human interaction. Upon arriving at HART, humans were a complete mystery to them. While Prickly is still quite shy, he has a passionate love for playtime that brings out his adventurous and silly personality. With the support of the Shy Angels Socialization Team, he’s gradually becoming braver. Although the touch of humans can still be daunting, he’s discovering that people can offer fun, especially when toys and treats are involved. Prickly and Barberry share a deep bond and look to each other for reassurance. They thrive together and must be adopted as a pair. The brothers get along well with other cats but need a calm, quiet home free from small children and dogs. Their new family should be ready to continue their journey through the Shy Angels Program. Patience and daily playtime are essential for helping them flourish. With time and care, Prickly’s shy exterior will give way to his playful nature. He’s truly a wonderful companion just waiting to blossom in a loving home. Ready to meet Prickly Pear and Barberry? Click apply to start the adoption process.
