Meet Santiago the Wonderful, an affectionate Staffordshire Terrier mix who's eager to bond with people. This gentle giant loves to cuddle and may seem shy initially, but he quickly warms up to everyone he encounters. Santiago's journey began when he was abandoned and tied to a bush in Lodi, CA. Thankfully, a kind soul got him the help he needed. Once rescued, Santiago’s cheerful disposition shone through as he adjusted to his new environment. He spent time at a dog training shelter in Grass Valley, CA, where he learned good manners and how to have fun with other dogs. This big boy enjoys his walks and excels on a leash. His favorite activities include playing with toys, especially balls and bones. He is crate-trained, has excellent house manners, and enjoys belly rubs while responding to commands like sit, paw, down, and roll over. Ideally, a home with children aged 12 and older and dogs of similar size would suit him best. Santiago's adoption process includes an application and home visit.
