About Izzy
Izzy is a big-hearted Boxer/Pit Bull mix with a playful spirit and a soft spot for cheese. At 80 pounds, she has a classic fawn coat, soulful brown eyes with natural "eyeshadow," and a personality that blends goofiness with loyalty. Born on November 29, 2018 (she's a Sagittarius—no wonder she loves adventure and fun), Izzy thrives on long walks, games of fetch, and bubble popping. She adores kids, especially little ones, and is endlessly tolerant of their antics, but appreciates a little intervention if they get too rowdy. She’s fully house trained, up to date on vaccinations, and spayed. Izzy’s foster home includes young children, and she’s comfortable hanging out on the couch or floor when left alone. She enjoys leash walks, knows her basic commands, and will do just about anything for a treat. Toys that squeak don’t stand a chance, and while she’s goofy, Izzy is always ready for a cuddle session. Izzy prefers a home without cats and is selective with other dogs—she does best with large dogs given proper introductions and doesn’t want little dogs in her space. She’ll let you know if she’s nervous on leash around other dogs, but she’s improving with practice and treats. Izzy sleeps wherever is comfortable—couch, bed, crate if needed—and, while she’s not a swimmer, she enjoys splashing and playing with a hose.
