About Eli

Meet Eli: a truly wonderful companion who scores a perfect 9 out of 10! This 2-year-old Carolina Dog is a joyful 50-pound bundle filled with affection and resilience. He's smart and independent, managing to balance his love of snuggles with a strong sense of self-sufficiency. Eli shows his affection with little kisses and has a delightful character that wins over hearts instantly. Eli is highly observant and intelligent. He learned his name in just over two weeks and proves himself to be a clever problem solver. For example, when his foster left his leash on a table, Eli kept his eye on it, signaling he was ready for a walk. He is completely house trained, knows how to "sit," and comes when called. He loves other dogs, playing effortlessly with a seven-year-old Lab and a one-year-old pup. An adaptable and easygoing companion, Eli sports an adorable diamond-shaped white spot on his neck. He has a quirk common with dogs who've faced food scarcity; he loves his meals a bit too much and may nudge other dogs away from their bowls. Feeding him separately resolves this issue. If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, and perfectly balanced friend, Eli is waiting for you in Houston, TX. He can also be transported to most states for an additional fee.
