About Mara

Mara is a resilient canine who was rescued from the euthanasia list in Houston, TX. Initially overlooked due to a creamy white eye caused by a past injury or malnutrition, her life was saved thanks to a Good Samaritan and some thoughtful funding for surgery. With her eye now healed, she’s ready to find her forever home. Mara thrives in open spaces and would be best suited to a home with plenty of room to run, far from the bustle of city life. She enjoys long walks and car rides, showcasing her playful and adventurous side. While she gets along well with most dogs, she may not appreciate those with dominant traits. As a loving companion, she is looking for someone to share her affection and loyalty. Currently situated in Houston, TX, transport can be arranged if needed.
