About Skipper
Meet Skipper, a charming red and white neutered male mixed breed whoβs a blend of Border Collie and Australian Shepherd traits. Born on March 5, 2026, Skipper is a playful soul weighing about 35-40 lbs. He sports a long, rough coat and carries the hallmark short tail of an Aussie, adding to his unique look. When you first meet him, Skipper may come off as shy, but once he feels secure, he transforms into an affectionate cuddle buddy who loves being petted. While heβs fantastic around other dogs, his exuberance might not be suitable for homes with small children, though he adores spending time with people who earn his trust. Skipper was surrendered by his previous owner, possibly due to his vibrant energy and the training typical of a young herding breed. Though he had limited training before his arrival, Skipper has made significant progress in his foster home. Heβs learned commands like sit, lie down, and fetch, and is well on his way to mastering house training. Crate training has been a success, and he sleeps quietly overnight. While heβs still getting the hang of car rides and leash walking, Skipper is a wonderful companion for fun activities like hiking and play. This young pup needs a home that recognizes his energetic spirit and is committed to continuing his training and socialization. With your guidance and time, Skipper can surely become an exceptional companion. Every adoption begins with a two-week trial period. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
