Rosie is an 8-year-old spayed female Great Pyrenees noted for her warm personality. She's large and has a long, beautiful coat of white and cream. This friendly girl is house trained and currently residing in Indianapolis, IN. Her gentle nature allows her to get along well with children and other dogs, making her an ideal companion.

About Rosie Senior Loving Girl

Rosie is an 8-year-old Great Pyrenees in search of her forever home. She first joined our care in 2020 but was returned due to her adopters' health issues. This friendly girl loves going for walks and is quite the traveler, enjoying rides in vehicles. Rosie is housebroken and does not require crating when left alone. She enjoys the company of younger male Pyrenees and can thrive as either an only dog or with a male companion. However, Rosie does not get along with cats or chickens. We strongly recommend obedience training for newly adopted Pyrenees; this helps to develop a special bond while ensuring a well-behaved canine. Despite their independent nature, Great Pyrenees can learn, although they might take their time with commands. Potential adopters must be over 25, own their home, and ensure that all children are above 6 years old. All resident pets should be up-to-date on vaccinations and sterilized, and you must have a solid history of veterinary care for the past two years. Please note that Rosie will need a securely fenced yard, as invisible fencing is ineffective for this breed. Great Pyrenees love to roam and can create their own territory if not properly secured, leading to potential dangers. If you’re interested in making Rosie part of your family, consider fostering her first. We also have a trial adoption period in place to ensure she’s the right fit. Rosie’s adoption fee is waived, so she’s ready to go home with you soon!
