Meet Nala! This sweet older gal is about 10 years old as of September 2025. After losing her owner and home, Nala found herself in the shelter. She's potty trained and crate trained, and she thrives in a calm environment as the only pet, ideally without small children. Nala has a laid-back demeanor and enjoys her leisurely walks. It takes her a bit to warm up to new people, but once she does, she's a loyal friend for life. Her foster mom shares how much Nala has blossomed. Once heartbroken and confused, Nala is now a joyful presence, proving that love can heal even the toughest wounds. Her wonderful qualities include being an expert face-kisser and a charming walking companion. She only needs short walks, and she's known to do a little happy dance when the leash comes out. Nala loves belly rubs, hanging out in the yard, and playing tug-of-war. She’ll follow you wherever you go, whether in the kitchen or during workout sessions. As a senior, she qualifies for our senior to senior program, allowing free adoptions for approved adopters aged 60 and over.
