About Barney

Barney, formerly known as Jabbar, is ready to find his forever home. At 5 years and 8 months old, this 80-pound hound and Rottweiler mix is a loyal and intelligent companion. He will thrive in a peaceful environment and learns to trust at his own pace. Barney already knows several tricks and commands, showcasing his smart nature. He is friendly with other dogs, but tends to shy away from very large breeds. While he rarely barks, he does enjoy being the perfect couch potato. House trained, heโ€™ll even give a gentle knock on the door when he needs to go outside. He is comfortable on a leash and muzzle trained, maintaining excellent house manners. Although he has not been crate trained, Barney wonโ€™t touch food left out on counters and can be left alone without issue. This sweet boy is looking for someone who appreciates a calm and loving companion. Thinking about welcoming Barney into your home? Click apply to start the adoption process.
