Ella is the sweetest, most beautiful girl. This gentle Cavalier is a puppy mill survivor, ready for a wonderful life. Ella is shy and can be worried around new people and new experiences. But she is learning to trust and we know she will thrive in a perfect home. Ella would do great with a friendly dog that can help her continue to build her confidence, but she would be OK as an only pup. Ella will need time and patience and a quiet environment. No small children or loads of activity; it would just be too overwhelming for her. She will find her person and slowly develop a trusting bond. Ella is 5 years old and spent her entire life having babies at a puppy mill. She loves carrying around tiny stuffed animals – her new babies – and will gently collect them in a pile. Ella is potty trained and does well in a pen. She is trustworthy in the house and prefers hanging out in a few favorite spots. The leash still scares her, so she needs a home with a fenced-in yard where she can spend outdoor time. Ella is being fostered in the metro Atlanta area. Ideally, her adopter would be able to visit multiple times to get to know her. Ella would prefer to be a homebody. She doesn't want a life of dog parks and outdoor restaurants.
