About Brayleigh
Brayleigh is not a dog you forget. Picked up as a stray in Texas, she arrived rough around the edges: skin and ear infections, almost no fur left, completely blind and deaf. Years later, after regular medicated baths and tough surgeries, her coat has come in soft and handsome, and her personality refuses to shrink for anyone. She doesn’t care for strangers and will ignore men altogether, but female humans and male dogs get her trust—with time. Once inside her circle, Brayleigh is loyal, sweet, and playful, but skip the grooming drama: nail trims and mats spark her sass. She’s now about 8, mixes Australian shepherd, koolie, cattle dog, and shar-pei, and weighs a lean 25 pounds. Bray spends her time lounging nearby, never clingy but always keeping tabs. Toys are her treasures; you may catch her dozing with one in her mouth, making up for years without. She walks well on leash, crates quietly, and has potty habits down—as long as it’s dry, or with a pad indoors. Brayleigh needs a patient, experienced woman (or household of women) who respects her boundaries and likes “complex” dogs. She could live with a calm male dog, but prefers to be the solo star. A fenced yard is a must for safety, and she does best with someone home often, though she’s reliable alone and not destructive. Allergies mean a strict routine of baths, daily meds, and weekly shots. It’s a lot, but Brayleigh pays back with stubborn spirit and big, sloppy kisses—once you’ve earned them. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Brayleigh
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Brayleigh, with her mix of Australian shepherd, koolie, cattle dog, and shar-pei, does best in a home with space to move and plenty of structure. Given her special needs, a quiet, stable environment is key.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
As a medium-sized dog with working breeds in her background, Brayleigh appreciates a fenced yard for safe exploration, but won't need endless acreage. Moderate yard space will help her feel comfortable and secure.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Brayleigh gets along with children, but her sensory limitations mean she needs gentle handling and respectful kids who understand her boundaries.
