About Gabriel

Gabriel is a resilient young Australian Cattle Dog mix with a tricolor coat who’s overcome a lot. He arrived from a rural shelter in the Carolinas after a car accident left him with a broken leg and a badly injured eye. Veterinarians saved his eye temporarily, but when sight didn't return, it was carefully removed, and Gabriel bounced back fast from both that and his leg repair. Despite everything, Gabriel’s got a puppyish outlook: active, playful, endlessly curious, and always up for a snuggle. Toys are his thing—tug-of-war, stuffed animals, and his beloved Jolly Ball. He’s picking up potty training, learning leash and crate routines, and already understands "sit," "kennel up," and "hush." He’s goofy, sometimes rowdy, but fully wants to please. Gabriel does best with other playful dogs and would thrive either as a solo pet or with a like-minded canine companion. He needs a home with a securely fenced yard. Gabriel suits a family with time for further training, games, and maybe some dog sports. He’s been through a lot, now he’s ready for love, fun, and a great new chapter.
