How this pet arrived: Self was transferred in from Hawaii's Kauai Humane Society on October 13th, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet your friendly pal Self! He and his brother, Aldol (#1009562), are a sweet pair looking for a quiet home where they can settle in at their own pace. A calm and welcoming household is essential for helping them feel safe and relaxed. For both of them, initial confinement to a small room while they acclimate to their new environment is the true key to success. Starting out in a cozy, dedicated room gives Aldol and Self a secure homebase to decompress together, learn daily routines, and build their confidence side by side before gradually exploring the rest of the house. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Where one goes the other is quick to follow. Having his brother right by his side gives Self the courage he needs to navigate new surroundings, making them a wonderfully devoted team. When you are ready to welcome these best of friends home, please remember to bring two carriers for their big adoption day.
