About Sir Scout

Talk about perfect timing! ā¤ļø Fun fact about Sir Scout, he is a very proud pup, extremely outgoing. Will take on any adventure. Always comes to his foster with his tail wagging and running around with no end. 😊 Mama Nessa was a stray in Memphis, Tennessee, when she was rescued and quickly transported to the Connecticut Humane Society.. They hoped to find a foster home before her puppies arrived, but Nessa had other plans! She gave birth to TEN gorgeous puppies just hours after arriving there. Talk about cutting it close! PAWS New England was asked if we'd take the little family, and of course, we said YES! Fast-forward weeks, and these adorable little nuggets are healthy, happy, growing like weeds, and enjoying life in a wonderful New England foster home. Each has their own beautiful face, coloring, and personality as they grow. The puppies will be ready to go home at about 8 weeks of age, with their first puppy vaccinations. We'll share more about their individual personalities as they develop. In the meantime, if one of these little faces makes your heart skip a beat, we encourage you to apply! BUT FIRST... LET'S TALK ABOUT PUPPIES! Before applying, please make sure you're ready for: 🐾 Time and attention: Puppies need supervision, companionship, socialization, training, and plenty of interaction. If everyone is gone all day, leaving a puppy home alone for hours isn't fair to the puppy. 🐾 Middle-of-the-night potty breaks: Yes, even in the middle of a New England winter. When nature calls, you're going outside! 🐾 House-training: Accidents happen. Floors need cleaning, schedules need adjusting, and patience is a must. Consistency is the key to success. 🐾 Crate training: Your puppy needs to learn that the crate is a safe, comfortable place to rest. This takes time and positive reinforcement, not simply shutting the door and hoping for the best. 🐾 Chewing, teething, and puppy antics: Shoes, furniture, fingers, and anything left within reach may suddenly become the most fascinating objects on earth. Puppy-proofing is essential! 🐾 Training and socialization: Puppies don't arrive knowing how to walk politely on a leash, greet people appropriately, or become well-mannered adult dogs. Training classes, positive reinforcement, and continued guidance will help them grow into wonderful companions. 🐾 A lifetime commitment: Puppies grow up! They're adorable little babies today, but they'll need exercise, training, veterinary care and love for years to come. A puppy's love and joy far outweighs any trials and tribulations, but the commitment has to come first. Then you will be rewarded with puppy kisses, silly antics, joyful greetings, first walks, milestones, and the incredible experience of watching a little life grow into your very best friend. If you're ready for the work, the laughter, and a whole lot of love, one of Nessa's ten little wonders might be the perfect addition to your family! Apply soon, because we suspect these babies won't be waiting long. All known information about the animal is listed above.
