Wanda, also known as "little miss wiggle butt," is a survivor who brings life and love wherever she goes. After spending over half a year in a crowded shelter, she narrowly escaped euthanasia thanks to a determined rescue volunteer. Now settled in a foster home in New England, Wanda greets everyone she loves with her signature full-body wiggle and always has energy for a toy, a walk, or a car ride. Her enthusiasm for simple pleasures makes time with her feel genuine and fun. This cheerful girl craves human companionship and tends to bond quickly with her people. She’s house trained and picks up on routine changes well, but will benefit from continued basic manners training—she’s very food-motivated, making teaching new tricks easier. Wanda is curious about other dogs on walks and has made friends during outings. With slow, appropriate introductions, she may do well with another dog but would also be happy as your only star. Homes with children over seven may be a good match. A fenced yard for sniffing and lounging is a plus, but she really just wants a stable, affectionate environment and someone willing to spend time helping her thrive. Wanda is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Born August 16, she’s a loyal Leo—confident and brimming with personality. Wanda is ready for her next chapter and will repay your patience and love with endless affection and plenty of wiggly welcomes. Start your journey together! Apply now. Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Adoption donations help cover Wanda’s veterinary care and support other rescued animals in need.
