Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Max! Gorgeous yellow boy alert! Some dogs walk into your life and immediately make themselves at home. Max is one of those dogs. This 4 year-old, 80 pound yellow Lab is a goofy, sweet, and endlessly loving boy who wears his heart on his sleeve (and a big smile on his face). Every morning, Max has a routine: he flops onto his back and rolls back and forth, grinning from ear to ear, getting in a good back scratch before the day begins. It’s impossible to watch without putting a smile on your face. Max is smart, medium energy, and happiest when he’s with his people. He loves his toys, adores treats, and is a total champion at playing fetch. He’s great with strangers and does wonderfully with older kids, greeting everyone like a friend he hasn’t met yet. He’s house and crate trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s still learning leash manners (like many enthusiastic Labs, he likes to pull a little), and he’s good to stay In his crate when you’re away from home. He’s a quick learner with a willing heart, and with patience and consistency, he’ll keep getting better every day. Max’s perfect home has a fenced yard where he can run, and a family who will head outside to throw the ball with him. He doesn’t need anything fancy, just someone to play with, laugh with, and love him the way he’ll love you. If you’re looking for a loyal, silly, affectionate best friend, Max is ready to meet you.
