Dog's Name: Trixie (TRI1026STFFS) Estimated Breed: Chihuahua pproximate Age: 3 years Approximate Weight: 12 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Trixie – A Tiny Girl with a Big Heart! Trixie is a little Chihuahua with a whole lot of love to give! She looks smaller than her 12 lb would suggest - small but solid. This adorable young girl is sweet, a bit shy at first, and hoping to find that special someone who will help her blossom into the confident, happy companion she's meant to be. Trixie's petite size makes her an easy fit for many types of households, and she gets along well with other dogs and kids, too! With a little patience, plenty of TLC, and a cozy spot to call her own, this precious girl will be ready to fill her forever home with love and companionship. If you have room in your heart and home for a pint-sized sweetheart, apply today—Trixie may be just the girl you've been waiting for! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
