She is the ultimate "shadow dog"—she absolutely loves to follow her human around from room to room. Lola isn't demanding or needy, she is perfectly content just being in your presence, happily curled up nearby while you go about your day. Lola is quite shy and timid when meeting new people or entering unfamiliar places. Because of this, she needs a patient adopter who will let her decompress at her own pace. Don't let her initial shyness fool you! Once Lola gets used to you and realizes she is safe, her shell completely melts away. She transforms into a deeply affectionate, devoted, and loving companion. She is also food motivated and has a wonderfully healthy appetite! This is great news for her future family because she is highly motivated by tasty treats, which makes bonding and training a lot of fun. Lola is still working on her house manners and will need an adopter willing to give her additional guidance with her potty training. Consistent routines and positive reinforcement will help her master this in no time. Lola currently coexists with other dogs and is okay sharing a household from a distance, but she is sometimes very protective of her personal bubble.
