Meet Mushu! Your Future Chief Puppy Officer! Located in New Port Richey, FL At just 15 weeks old and 14 lbs, Mushu is an adorable Aussie mix puppy who is equal parts sweet, silly, and curious! Mushu can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he decides you're his person, get ready for ALL the love. He loves attention, being with his people, and showing off his affectionate side. Mushu also has some very important hobbies: chasing ice cubes, supervising the puppy yard from his favorite “supervisor chair,” enjoying a good hard-chew or squeaky toy, and occasionally joining the big dogs for playtime. Rowdier play can still be a little intimidating, but he's learning! Mushu is almost fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has started monthly Simparica Trio. He will be adopted under a neuter contract, with neutering to be completed at an age-appropriate time as determined by ASF and his veterinarian. He's making great progress with potty training but isn't fully there yet — he's still a young puppy with a little puppy bladder! He's also learning crate training and settles nicely with a good chew toy. Collars and leashes are still new territory, but with patience and practice, he'll get there. Mushu has done well on car rides, either crated or riding on a lap. He currently lives with six foster cats, a bunny, and three foster sister dogs. He does well with everyone, although he thinks the cats and bunny are perfectly sized playmates! He may chase them hoping to play but has shown no intent to hurt them. Mushu has not been formally tested with children. Older, dog-savvy children would likely be the best fit, as enthusiastic puppy play could easily knock over little ones. Mushu's Ideal Home • A fully fenced yard • A friendly, tolerant dog who doesn't mind puppy shenanigans • A family with the time and patience to continue his training and socialization • A family willing to complete a meet & greet before adoption Mushu is looking for a family who understands that puppies are a work in progress and is ready to help this sweet little guy grow into the amazing dog he's meant to be.
