About Sherlock Holmes
Meet Sherlock Holmes—a giant teddy bear come to life! This lovable, 83-pound male Great Pyrenees, possibly mixed with Anatolian Shepherd, is two years old and sports beautiful brown-and-white patches, a white stripe down his face, and striking dark velvet ears. His soulful eyes have a way of bringing instant joy and making you feel warm inside. Sherlock is a playful, affectionate boy who adores people and wants to be included in every family activity. Adopted from a shelter where he was found as a stray, he’s now enjoying life in foster care and is ready for his forever home. Sherlock does wonderfully with children, inviting them to play and basking in their company. He also gets along well with dogs, especially his buddy John Watson, and they share endless fun in the yard. Although Sherlock sometimes gets a bit excited during greetings, he’s gentle with children ages four and six. He’s also curious about new people, starting off with a bark before happily welcoming them into his space. An energetic fellow, Sherlock thrives with an active family who enjoys the outdoors. He loves to explore, wrestle, and play, making him an ideal companion for someone who loves to spend time outdoors. Sherlock enjoys walks, though he likes to sniff out new scents, so his leash manners are still a work in progress. A securely fenced yard is essential for him to run and play freely. He may not be interested in fetching toys just yet, but he does enjoy long play sessions outside. Sherlock is house trained and kennel trained, with a wonderful temperament that shines through in everything he does. If you think your family could be the perfect match for this loving giant, don't miss out on adding Sherlock to your life. Your new best friend is just one click away.
