About Scout

Scout is looking for his forever home! This sweet boy is about 5 years old, neutered, and weighs around 42 pounds. His foster describes him as a certified, all-around good boy who thrives on companionship but does struggle a bit with separation anxiety; he might bark or whine when left alone, but he is not destructive. The foster family recommends a home with older kids; while Scout loves them, he can be a bit too excitable indoors. Interestingly, he's much calmer outside. When it comes to playtime, Scout is fabulous with other dogs and adapts well, though he may get a bit overzealous. His play style, marked by a playful β€œtooth-yelling,” is mostly harmless. He's also done well with cats but needs supervision and an intro period, especially if a cat decides to run. Scout is affectionate and enjoys having his humans close by. He knows his name and generally responds well. A classic velcro dog, he loves to chew on Nyla bones and occasionally nibbles on softer toys. Scout is being fostered in Bridgeton, NJ.
