About Artie in TN
Artie is a sweet and charming Dachshund currently residing in Shelbyville, TN. At almost 5 years old, he weighs around 10.12 lbs and has a striking black and tan piebald coat with some ticking. While he has a mild back condition, heโs been making great strides in socialization since arriving at the rescue and is looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive. This little guy came to us from North Carolina. He is heartworm positive but will complete his treatment by the end of December, just in time for his adoption. Artie is house trained, using a doggie door, but he will need someone who can maintain a regular potty schedule if his new home doesnโt have one. Being crate trained means he'll be comfortable when left alone for short periods, but he does need a fenced yard and another small dog to keep him company. While Artie is shy at first, heโs playful and loves to engage, often playfully stealing things like dryer sheets just to get you to chase him. He does best in a home with no small children, preferably with someone who can be home most of the time. Sound like a match? Click apply to start the adoption process.
