About Luna in KY

Meet Luna, a resilient 7-year-old Dachshund from Shelbyville, TN. She’s a unique little lady living with IVDD, having learned to spine walk after not being a candidate for surgery. Luna thrives with physical therapy and has the heart of a fighter. Though she’ll never walk like other pups, she's become quite skilled at navigating ramps and enjoys her daily adventures in the yard. This affectionate girl loves belly rubs and happiness fills her mornings as she greets the day with excitement and playful antics. When not zooming around, Luna enjoys cuddling with her foster siblings and basking in the sun. She requires a very special home that understands her needs: a secured yard to help strengthen her legs, someone home most of the time, and a small companion dog to share her life with. Additionally, her new family should have experience with IVDD, as her routines involve bladder care that needs to be managed. Luna is not suited for homes with small children or high-rise living, but she is full of love and determination, making her a wonderful companion for the right adopter. If you think you could be that person for her, reach out! Every small step she takes deserves to be celebrated, and she's ready to share her journey with a loving forever home.
