About Monique

Monique takes her time getting to know the world around her. This 9-year-old black and white pit bull mix has a bright white face and a single dark patch around her eye, giving her a curious and attentive look. She walks a few steps, pauses to check in with her handler, then continues on, a behavior that shows her thoughtful nature. Previously, Monique lived outside on a chain before finding her way to us. Walking on a leash is a new experience for her, and she’s learning at her own pace. What she truly desires is a warm, loving home with a cozy bed, gentle walks, and a person who consistently shows up in her life. Monique thrives in a patient adult setting where she can take her time. While we haven’t yet seen how she interacts with other pets or children, she's definitely ready for someone who appreciates her unique journey. To meet Monique, we recommend scheduling an appointment for a visit. Our shelter is open Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 4 PM, with possible appointments outside those hours based on volunteer availability.
