Meet Maple. If resilience had a face, it might look a lot like her. This lovely Husky and German Shepherd mix spent three tough weeks surviving on her own in a Quincy orchard before a compassionate community member brought her to safety. Understandably, Maple arrived exhausted and underweight, unsure of what would come next. But despite her past, she has shown nothing but sweetness. Now in foster care, Maple is finally enjoying what she needs most: rest, good meals, and love. After a period of low energy while she settled in, she's starting to regain her playful spirit, showcasing the fun-loving dog we knew was hiding underneath. Incredibly affectionate, Maple adores attention and loves pets and cuddles. She eagerly soaks up every bit of love you're willing to give. Sometimes she gets so excited that she'll jump up to greet you or gently use her mouth for attention. It’s not aggressive—just her joyful nature we’re helping her work through. Because of this, a home without very small children may be best. What stands out about Maple is her forgiving spirit. Despite being abandoned, she still trusts people and desires love. A cuddler at heart, she’s also showing an adventurous side as she gains strength and confidence. Maple is looking for a patient, loving family willing to provide the structure and security she needs. She doesn’t need perfection; just someone committed to helping her heal and continue learning.
