About Gaspar
Meet Gaspar, a sweet little boy who, with time and patience, is learning that the world can be a safe and joyful place. This playful Chihuahua mix came from a shelter in Mexico and is finding his confidence in a loving foster home. At first, Gaspar was quite frightened and relied heavily on his crate as a safe space. It took him only a few days to begin venturing out, and soon enough he was wagging his tail and playing with other dogs, a huge step for him! Witnessing him enjoy life and play around has been a heartwarming experience for his foster family, who describe him as curious, goofy, and affectionate once he feels comfortable. Gaspar loves cozy blankets, plush toys, and fun explorations. He’s food and toy motivated and already knows a few commands. Although he is house trained, he is still mastering outdoor potty skills and requires positive, gradual leash training. While Gaspar thrives in the company of other dogs, he’s also gentle with cats and has shown a good rapport with children. However, a calm household with understanding individuals would be ideal for him to flourish. He is looking for a family that will respect his pace and help him build confidence without rushing him. If you can provide a stable and reassuring environment for this special pup, Gaspar might be the perfect addition to your home. Ready to meet Gaspar? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
