About Mongo
Mongo is in foster care in Omaha, NE, and he's a delightful black tri male Australian Shepherd. At about 8-9 months old and weighing just under 40 lbs, he’s still a playful puppy who hasn’t quite figured out what it means to be a grown-up yet. Found as a stray, his past is a mystery, but he clearly knows how to enjoy the finer things in life; he has an affinity for pillows and loves nothing more than snuggling up with his humans on a cold winter’s night. Incredibly well-behaved during car rides, Mongo walks on a leash with enthusiasm typical for his age, even though he might pull a bit. He is already potty trained and sleeps soundly in his crate, provided it’s comfy. Mongo enjoys toys just shy of how much he adores pillows, and he plays gently without destroying them. Currently, he shares his foster home with cats; while he’s curious about them, he needs a little guidance on their behaviors during slow introductions. With dogs, he’s all about playtime and gets along with pups of various sizes, from 10 lbs to 115 lbs, without any guarding tendencies. Mongo is ready to bring some joy and a mountain of pillows into your life. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
