Coming from a tumultuous background, Roxie needs a patient and understanding family to help her overcome her fears, particularly around children. It’s important to note that she would thrive best in an adult-only home or with older teens who respect her boundaries. Initially, Roxie can be a bit shy and overstimulated during new encounters. However, with trust, she reveals her adorable personality and loves belly rubs. She knows commands like Sit, Down, and Stay, which makes training enjoyable, especially since she is motivated by treats. Although she has been crate trained, she now enjoys roaming free in her foster home, getting along well with the resident dogs. Roxie does like her toys but guards them from people, so some ongoing training is recommended. Being dog selective, it’s vital to introduce her to new canine friends in a neutral location.
