About Oscar
Meet Oscar, a delightful dog who has truly come into his own! At 5 years old and weighing 22 pounds, he wears a big smile and boasts a larger-than-life personality. When he first arrived in foster care, Oscar was a bit of a wallflower, hesitant to trust. Fast forward four months, and he's a vibrant pup who loves gathering his toys into a big pile. With an obvious enthusiasm for fetch, he enjoys playful moments at the dog park with other small dogs. While he's still mastering the art of walks, he's starting to enjoy them more. When it's time to relax, youβll often find him cozied up under a blanket for a peaceful nap. Oscar thrives on a one-on-one relationship. He isn't unfriendly; he simply looks for guidance and affection from his special personβcurrently his foster mom who showers him with belly rubs. He might be shy around new people at first, but a few treats will win him over. His loyalty and affection are waiting for that one special connection. A true homebody at heart, Oscar would fit perfectly in a calm, adult-only environment with a yard, ideally alongside a friendly small dog who can help him adjust. Heβs fully house trained, sleeps soundly in his dog bed, rarely barks, and is in perfect health. Although car rides make him a bit anxious, he settles in well once he arrives at his destination. While Oscar hasn't lived with cats, his foster believes he'll adapt well. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a heart-melting smile, Oscar is eager to meet you.
