About Duke

Duke landed with us from Fedwell Farms after the Director passed away. He’s a big sweetheart, always ready to chase rubber balls with pure joy. Mentioning a walk or a car ride gets him so excited that he dances on his back feet and beams with happiness. Duke thrives in both single-pet homes and those with other dogs. He bonds well with other dogs, often lying close to them and accepting their presence without issue, even if he’s not one for roughhousing. This gentle giant loves walks and does well on a leash, though he can pull a bit but responds quickly to correction. Attention is key for Duke. He enjoys neck hugs, kisses, and head scratches. He often stretches out nearby while you work or relax, and while he may sneak onto the bed, he’s learned boundaries and seeks a cozy spot of his own. He's an incredibly loving companion who needs a home that can give him plenty of affection, walks, and the occasional car ride. Duke gets along well with both kids and adults, though he tends to be cautious around men at first but warms up quickly. Ready to meet Duke? Click apply to start the adoption process.
