About Beckham

Meet Beckham, a spirited Shepherd/Terrier mix currently in Youngsville, NC. He's a joyful four-year-old with a silky golden coat accented by black and white, weighing in at 55 pounds. Beck has a knack for blending adventure with affection, and he loves walks, yard play, hikes, and car rides. Cuddle sessions are equally important; they often involve generous amounts of belly rubs and soft snuggles. Affectionately known as Beck, he brings happiness in hilarious ways—scratch his rump, give him some baby talk, and you might witness a joyful dance or a playful case of the zoomies. He’s a loving companion who thrives on family interaction. A smart boy, Beckham is house-trained and knows commands like sit and stay, thanks to formal obedience training. Currently, he’s in a foster home with a trainer who is prepared to assist his new family in making a smooth transition. Beckham is dog-friendly and would benefit from a confident canine buddy for playtime. However, he requires a cat-free home due to previous reactions. A fenced yard is a must for him. On leash walks, he can be reactive towards other dogs and fast-moving objects, meaning an experienced caregiver is essential for his continued behavior support. He also needs premedication and a muzzle at vet visits for ease. Beckham is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Bringing loyalty and silliness into every day, Beckham loves exploring, cruising in the car, playing, and sharing quiet moments with his people.
