About Venus

Meet Venus, a playful and affectionate girl with a loving spirit! Located in Bullard, TX, Venus is on the search for a companion who can match her enthusiasm for life. Formerly known as Sheeva, she’s a beautiful, young mixed breed, combining the traits of a Great Dane and a German Shorthaired Pointer. With a lively personality, Venus loves to engage with her people, share kisses, and play with other dogs. After a bit of excitement, she'll happily cozy up on the couch, soaking in affection from her favorite humans. Although she enjoys her playtime, Venus knows how to wind down. She’s friendly with other dogs and thrives in the company of canine companions, making her a social butterfly at heart. While she has previously interacted well with dog-savvy cats, she may chase if they run. Venus is not currently evaluated around younger kids, so a home with older children or adults is preferred. This sweet girl is still refining her manners but has shown great progress in foster care. She's house trained and responds well to training, although she deserves a family that will continue her positive reinforcement journey. She can be a bit shy at first, particularly in new situations, but once she senses safety, her affectionate nature comes out. Venus would flourish in a stable home that can provide her with regular exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. If you think you could provide her with the loving environment she needs, she may just be the companion you've been looking for. All she needs is the chance to thrive in a nurturing space.
