About Belle
Belle is a young Great Dane mix in Bullard, TX, who’s equal parts gentle, goofy, and devoted to her people. She leans into you for comfort, prefers the sofa over anywhere else, and regularly seeks out affection—true to her Velcro-dog reputation. Belle does best in calm households and is particularly good with children 10+, as well as other respectful, mellow dogs. At mealtime, she’s a bit timid and prefers to eat separately, but doesn’t mind humans near her bowl. She rides calmly in the car and tolerates her crate, though she’s happiest when relaxing by your side. Belle is still working through some young-dog challenges. She’s not fully house trained and may have accidents, especially when it’s cold. She’s learning leash skills but can be wary when her leash or collar is put on. Belle is also working to build confidence with household noises—vacuums and brooms unsettle her. She should be closely supervised indoors, as she has a history of chewing and has had two surgeries to remove swallowed objects. Separation anxiety can show up, so she needs a steady, patient adopter ready to provide consistency and reassurance. Vaccinations are up to date and she’s spayed. Belle’s sweetness and eagerness to bond shine brightest in a home that’s willing to help her keep growing. This gentle, affectionate girl deserves the chance to settle in with a family ready to help her blossom. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Belle
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Belle, as a Great Dane mix, tends to do best in a calm home environment with enough space to move comfortably. Apartments may be possible if there’s enough room and daily exercise, but a house with a yard is ideal for her size.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Great Dane mixes like Belle will appreciate access to a securely fenced yard for play and exercise. Large breeds don't require as much activity as some might think, but room to stretch out is important.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Belle’s breed is usually gentle and tolerant with children, and Belle herself does well with kids 10 and up. Supervision is still recommended because of her size and youthful energy.
