Willa is a young, playful Great Dane mix in Bullard, TX with a truly big heart. She thrives on human attention and wants to stick close—she’s a Velcro dog who finds comfort in your presence. Willa loves to run and play, needing an active home that can keep up with her energy through plenty of walks, regular play, and enough mental stimulation to keep her happy. She does best when she’s with her people, though some separation anxiety means she should be crated when left alone; she’s made good progress so far in foster care. Willa is fully house trained and rides calmly in the car. Her leash skills are improving—she’s attentive, usually doesn’t pull, and is eager to keep learning. Like many energetic young dogs, she needs a watchful eye if left with shoes or chewable things around. She currently lives with two large dogs and has become a playful companion to them after careful introductions. Willa gets along with children (she’s lived with a 5-year-old), but rapid toddler movements can make her nervous, so older or calm kids may be the best fit.
