He’s now in a foster home, ready to charm his way into your heart. Benny is around five years old and weighs approximately 60 pounds, yet he’s a bit skinny and could stand to gain some weight. It's likely he's a mix of Rottweiler and Chow Chow, and whatever he is, his charm is undeniable. This loving guy adores humans of all shapes and sizes, from kids to strangers, and he thrives on human companionship. Being near people is a must for Benny. He’ll stand close, waiting for your attention, and he isn't shy about joining you on your bathroom breaks or while you work from home. Although he enjoys a cozy, low-energy lifestyle filled with lounging on the couch, he still appreciates outdoor adventures. On the leash, Benny does wonderfully, showing little prey drive and listening well to verbal cues. He’s a smart boy and already knows basic commands. He’s also well on his way with potty training and is a respectful houseguest. Benny gets along well with cats, having shown to be manageable around them. However, he can sometimes be a bit much for other dogs, particularly if he's overstimulated. He isn’t aggressive, but his enthusiasm can be overwhelming for more timid dogs. For this reason, he’ll thrive either as an only dog or with a confident canine buddy who can help him refine his social skills. This lovable pooch requests no kennel, as he’s not fond of crating and makes his feelings known. When left out in the house, he behaves impeccably, just finding a comfortable spot to relax.
