Benji is a lovely four-year-old male Shih Tzu with a long coat and a blend of gray and apricot colors. He is housebroken, though he should be crated when left alone. Though not yet altered, he is loving and easy to manage, making him a perfect pet for someone looking for a laid-back companion.

About Benji

Benji is a delightful small Shih Tzu who found himself in a city shelter in Rochester, NY. After wandering the streets with his housemate, he was picked up, but his housemate got adopted while Benji was overlooked due to his dry eye condition, which will require lifelong care. He’s now four years old, sweet, and loving. Though he has a bit of a challenge with one eye not having full vision, the other eye is perfectly fine. He enjoys walks with a flexy leash, rides happily in the car when secured, and loves curling up on your lap. Benji is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs but should be crated when left alone. His gentle nature makes him a quiet companion at home, happily sitting beside you while you watch TV. His daily eye drops will cost about $60 a month, but for the right person who wants an easygoing dog, he’s an excellent choice. Benji will thrive in an apartment setting and doesn’t require a fenced yard, although he loves playing outside when given the chance. If you’re ready for a sweet, good-natured companion, don’t hesitate to look into adopting him. Click apply to start the adoption process.
