Meet River! This sweet mama cat has made great strides since coming to the shelter with her five kittens. Initially, she was shy and spent her first day hiding under the bed, but with patience and a serene environment, she’s begun to reveal her affectionate nature. While River is still a bit timid and prefers a calm atmosphere, she enjoys rubbing against your hand when she’s ready for some attention. Once she builds trust, she will seek you out for affection. As a dedicated mom, she’s shown incredible patience with her playful brood, happily enduring their antics. Now that her kittens are growing up, River is looking forward to a quieter home. She finds comfort in cozy spots like soft pillows and the occasional cat TV entertainment. Although she isn’t big on playtime, she sometimes surprises her humans when she thinks no one is watching. River is fully litter box trained, which makes her an excellent companion. Currently, she isn’t a fan of being picked up but is slowly progressing. Her ideal adopter will be patient, allowing her to trust them on her terms. Once she feels secure, this affectionate mama is ready to show her sweet side. Mom & Me eligible!
