About Cowboy & Buttercup

Cowboy and Buttercup (sometimes called Nutty or Nutmeg) are two cats who bring out the best in each other. Cowboy, a long-haired black and white cat, is two years old; Buttercup, a shorthair torbie, is just four months old. Their personalities fit perfectly, with non-stop energy and an endless appetite for play—wrestling, chasing, tumbling, and zooming are their favorites. They’re happiest in each other’s company and seem almost inseparable. Buttercup stands out for her love of exercise wheels and needs a home where she can burn off steam—give her space, enrichment, and fun, and she’ll be her silly, zoomy self (a bored Buttercup tends to get into mischief). Her early days were tough, found crying on the roadside until a kind family stepped in. Cowboy, abandoned with 15 other cats from a hoarding case, has grown into an affectionate, playful snuggler who relishes attention. These two are great with other cats and should thrive in an energetic, lively household, especially if their people can match their playfulness. While they haven't lived with dogs, a patient introduction and a respectful dog could work for them. If you want a lively, loving pair who fill your home with action and affection, Cowboy and Buttercup are ready to show you twice the joy. Click apply to start the adoption process.
