Cheese is a 4-year-old female Great Dane who is gradually finding her footing in a new environment after her owner surrendered her with several other Great Danes from poor living conditions. She’s been making impressive strides, both physically and emotionally, thanks to ongoing nutritional support and care. Though a bit shy, Cheese enjoys her outdoor time and loves quiet companionship in her kennel. She’s recently started accepting treats and discovered the joys of lounging on a couch, revealing a playful, goofy side that is coming out little by little. Her interactions with other dogs have been positive, particularly with the Great Danes she came in with. However, her experience in our cat room was a bit overwhelming, so it's uncertain if she would thrive in a home with cats. Cheese needs a patient and experienced adopter familiar with her breed to help her adjust gently to indoor living. A calm environment and consistent routine will aid her in building the confidence she needs to thrive.
