About Godiva
Godiva is an approximately 1-year-old Great Dane who recently arrived at the shelter weighing just 79 pounds, severely underweight and unsure of her surroundings. Over the past few weeks, she has gained noticeable weight and is slowly gaining confidence. She’s becoming more curious and playful, gradually showing her silly side. With a cautious demeanor, Godiva is learning that the world can be welcoming. While leash walking remains an adventure—often resembling a game of ring-around-the-rosy—she has been social with the other dogs she has met, showing she can get along well with them. Her ideal home would offer patience and understanding, allowing her time to adjust and grow at her own pace. Currently, Godiva is up to date on her vaccinations, has passed her health screenings, and will be spayed and microchipped before adoption. She is accepting foster-to-adopt applications and is ready for a stable environment where she can truly blossom. Ready to welcome this sweet girl into your home? Apply today!
