About Vinny
Vinny is a charming little guy who came into our care after being returned to a shelter. He spent 2.5 months in a home before they decided he was too submissive to their other dog. Instead of facing another stay in a shelter, we welcomed him here. He thrives in the company of dogs his size or those not too dominant. Currently, his playmates include a short-legged Basset mix puppy, a 45-pound friendly adult, and two tiny ten-pound dogs. Smart and eager to learn, Vinny has mastered sitting for treats, mostly by observing his canine companions. He enjoys running and playing, walks well on a leash, and truly loves affection. Although Vinny can be nervous in new situations, having a confident, gentle dog around him can boost his confidence. He picks up on social cues well but can be possessive about food. It's best that he is fed separately until boundaries are established. When we first met Vinny, he exhibited fear due to his recent surrender, so patience will be key for his new family. At around 6 months old and weighing 23 pounds, Vinny has shorter legs and a longer body, and his markings resemble a Heeler. He comes fully vetted with all age-appropriate vaccinations, is neutered, and microchipped. Currently, Vinny is located in Lucedale, MS, and we personally transport adopted animals to their new families. Heβs ready for someone to commit and help him flourish into the fantastic dog he can be. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
