Meet Jaxon! Jaxon is a sweet and playful 2-year-old pitbull-type mix who's discovering the joys of life outside the shelter. He’s becoming more comfortable with new faces and eager to show off his lovable personality. Jaxon thrives on playtime—he loves tearing apart stuffies, playing fetch, and engaging in tug-of-war. His affectionate nature means he enjoys soaking up love from his people. This friendly pup gets along well with other dogs, particularly those who share his playful spirit. Although he could be happy as a solo dog, he’s also curious about the cats in his foster home; with some patience and slow introductions, he may adapt to feline companions. He’s still mastering his manners and can get a bit mouthy and jumpy when excited. Because of this, a home with older kids who can navigate the energy of an enthusiastic dog suits him best. Jaxon does experience some separation anxiety, but he is learning to settle down in his crate with time and attention. Jaxon is looking for a patient, understanding family to help him gain confidence and improve his manners.
