About Clove

Clove is a bright and affectionate dog, embodying joy with her kisses, tail wags, and playful spirit. She came to us when her previous owner became incarcerated, but she's ready for a fresh start and a loving home. With an approximate birth date of December 3, 2025, Clove is currently about 11 months old and weighs around 47 pounds, making her a great medium-sized companion. Clove is likely a mix between a German Shepherd and a Pit Bull, though her exact breed is anyone's guess. She's fostered with two large dogs and does well with them, and is also good with a small dog she lives with. Although we haven't seen her with cats directly, her brother has been polite around them, suggesting she would likely do well too. Clove adores people, getting along well with both men and women. She has a goofy, playful personality and could thrive in a home with gentle children. She enjoys cuddle time on the couch and excels at fetch, frequently bringing the ball back for another throw. She's treat-motivated and has learned commands like "sit,” often doing so automatically for treats. While she's good with potty habits, she struggles a bit in a crate and has escaped from a wire crate in the past. A sturdy plastic crate seems more suitable for her, and she would prefer a home without long hours in a crate. Clove is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and medically up-to-date, and her adoption fee of $200 includes a complimentary wellness exam at participating veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin, or Portland. She is currently fostered in Lincoln City but can be met in Portland. Are you ready to welcome this lovable girl into your home?
