About Buddy

Meet Buddy! This beautiful 5-year-old Australian Shepherd is not just a dog; he’s an eager worker looking for a leader. Buddy thrives on active environments and needs a job to do. He has a gentle mouth for treats and is an independent spirit. This clever boy enjoys car rides, jogs, and fetching balls, making yard play his favorite activity. Although he’s not one for cuddles, he’s eager to please, especially when rewarded with his beloved ball. Buddy originally served as a Veteran's Companion Dog and has come a long way in socializing at the rescue. However, children are not recommended due to his strong herding instinct. He requires a secure, fenced yard as he has a high prey drive and cannot be around small animals, small dogs, or cats. A home that understands his herding background and provides a large property setting would be ideal. If you believe you can meet Buddy's needs, reach out soon!
